Forensic Feng Shui: Trump's $95mm Estate
20 Jul 2008

Donald Trump, real estate mogul and probably the most famous feng shui advocate in the U.S., sold his 62,000 square foot mansion in Palm Beach in May to a Russion billionaire.

How is this possible?  Isn't the real estate market supposed to be in a recession?  The reality is that low end properties are actually selling well and so are properties above the $1mm price tag level.

If you look at the feng shui of Trump's former home (you can get a better look by clicking here), you can spot a few interesting things.  First, his driveway comes in to the property from the Northwest.  At the time the property sold the Relationship Star was also in the Northwest making it a good time to create new partnerships and enter into contracts.  Additionally, the main part of the house sits in the Northeast, which is where the annual Relationship star sits for 2008.  During the month of May the Star associated with unexpected windfalls also entered the Northeast.  This 3-way combination in May made the energy ideal for selling this particular property.

Another interesting note is that the driveway into the property is designed to pull wealth in but this year the Illness Star sits in that area (Northwest).  This Star can "weaken" revenue and cash flow making it difficult for him to get his asking price.  Trump, who had originally listed his home for $125mm, sold it for 24 percent less than the listing price.  He's probably not complaining, though.
